The Med-860 RENO is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. It delivers energy in pulses of 4 to 6 nanoseconds, which break pigment into smaller particles for the body to clear naturally. Q-switched delivery concentrates the energy on the pigment rather than the surrounding tissue.
This is a nanosecond Q-switched system. It is not a picosecond laser and we do not describe it as one. If a supplier offers you a true picosecond device at this price, ask them for the measured pulse width in writing.
