Vitamin B12 Injection Training Course (CPD Accredited)
A CPD accredited course in administering intramuscular vitamin B12 injections, covering the pharmacology, the anatomy of the injection sites, preparation and safety protocols, injection technique, aftercare and record keeping. Taught at our academy in Southampton.

Learners must already hold a recognised qualification in anatomy and physiology.

Assessment and certification
Review questions and a written assessment, then, after a pass, a supervised practical on a model or mannequin with role play scenarios and competency questions. On successful completion you receive a CPD certificate, 8 CPD credits.

Prescription only medicines
Injectable vitamins are prescription only medicines in the UK. Under regulation 214 of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, a prescription only medicine may only be given by injection by an appropriate practitioner, such as a doctor or an independent prescriber, or by someone acting in accordance with their directions. This course trains you to administer the injection within that framework. It does not qualify you to prescribe, so you will need an arrangement with an appropriate prescriber before you offer the treatment. Prescription only medicines must not be advertised to the public.
