How the treatment is approached
A carbon preparation is applied before laser treatment. The carbon-assisted stage is intended to improve the appearance of surface congestion, oiliness and skin texture. The standard clinic option uses 1320nm; the advanced service adds a separate 755nm pass where suitable. An extra pass does not guarantee more collagen or a better result for every client.

Oily skin and visible pores
Treatment may improve the appearance of congestion. Pores are a normal part of skin and cannot be permanently closed or removed.
Dullness and uneven texture
A facial may improve the appearance of the skin, but it is not a substitute for scar treatment or management of a skin disease.

An academy as well as a clinic
We deliver Ofqual-regulated qualifications. Our owner is an assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), and also acts as a UK Responsible Person (UKRP) for medical devices.
For this laser or light service, we use medical-grade equipment registered with the MHRA, as part of our assessed treatment protocols.
Ofqual regulates qualifications and awarding organisations. MHRA device registration is not approval or endorsement of a device or clinic. Professional experience does not remove treatment risks, which we discuss individually.

What to expect
Temporary redness, sensitivity or dryness can occur even with a low-downtime facial. A one-off appointment and a course serve different goals; the course is reviewed according to response rather than sold as compulsory.
Suitability and risks
Laser can cause burns, pigment changes and scarring. Suitability depends on skin tone, medicines, recent tanning and the particular wavelength and protocol. Active irritation, infection or significant inflammatory acne may change the plan.

Plan for your appointment
Before you attend
Start with a consultation and patch test at least 48 hours before treatment. Tell us about medicines, recent tanning, previous reactions and changes in health. Do not stop prescribed medicines without your prescriber’s advice.
Aftercare and follow-up
Follow patch-test and preparation advice. Avoid irritating skincare around treatment and protect the skin from UV afterwards. If planning around an event, allow time for an unexpected reaction rather than booking immediately beforehand.

Does the 755nm pass definitely stimulate extra collagen?
We do not promise a quantified or guaranteed collagen increase. The benefit and suitability of an additional stage must be explained for the actual device and protocol.
Is there no downtime?
Many clients have little interruption, but redness, sensitivity and dryness are possible.
Is this the same as IPL?
No. It is a laser facial with carbon, whereas IPL uses filtered broad-spectrum light.
How much will my treatment cost?

Will I need a course?
That depends on the concern, suitability and response. We discuss the likely commitment and review progress before recommending more appointments.
Can I have treatment on the day of my patch test?
No. Our minimum interval is 48 hours for laser and light treatments. Some circumstances require longer observation. A patch test cannot eliminate every risk.
