Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatments (RQF)
The nationally regulated laser and IPL qualification. Hair reduction and skin photo rejuvenation, delivered safely to the public, with the health and safety and client care units alongside.
About this qualification
This is the qualification for beauty and aesthetic professionals who want to specialise in laser and IPL. It builds the knowledge, the practical skill and the confidence to deliver laser and intense pulsed light treatments safely to the public.
The focus is hair reduction and skin photo rejuvenation. Training also covers safe working practices, identifying and controlling hazards, recognising hair and skin conditions, and assessing client suitability.
It is a substantial qualification, 31 credits and 220 guided learning hours, with four mandatory units. Most of the theory is home study with ongoing tutor support, and tutorial sessions are booked every four weeks to track your progress.
The practical days are in house at our academy, and your case studies are completed under supervision. You will need a full treatment portfolio including consultations, consent, before and after photographs and skin test evidence for every client.
