Laser Nail Fungal Treatment Training Course
Treating fungal nail infection at the nail bed with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. An evidence based protocol, taught with the honesty about outcomes that the advertising rules require.
About this course
Fungal nail infection is one of the most common things clients ask about and one of the most poorly treated. This course teaches a laser protocol you can deliver safely and describe honestly.
The clinical method taught here is based on the published peer reviewed study by Kalokasidis and colleagues, 2013, in Dermatology Research and Practice, together with the operating guidance for Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers. Background on the condition itself draws on the NHS and the British Association of Dermatologists, and every source is listed at the back of your manual.
You will learn what the laser actually does to the dermatophyte, how to calculate fluence, how to test patch, and how to run a treatment regime across a course rather than a single session.
Just as importantly you will learn why a cure cannot be promised, and how to word what you offer so that it stays within the ASA and CAP rules.
