The 980nm diode laser is a focused, fibre-coupled system designed for the cosmetic improvement of the appearance of superficial facial vessels. Energy is delivered through a fine handpiece and absorbed by the blood within the vessel, so the vessel warms and its appearance is reduced. A precise focal spot concentrates the energy where it is wanted and spares the surrounding skin, so sessions are quick and comfortable, with only a mild tingling and no anaesthetic required.

Designed to improve the appearance of

  • Superficial thread veins (facial telangiectasia)
  • Spider naevi
  • Cherry angiomas and small red spots
  • Facial redness and visible capillaries

Five focus rings, 0.2mm to 3.0mm

Match the spot to the vessel, from a fine 0.2mm point for delicate facial threads up to a 3.0mm spot for coarser vessels. The 0.5mm ring suits most facial work.
