RF uses controlled energy to heat targeted tissues. Device type, depth, contact and temperature monitoring affect the treatment. Tripolar, multipolar and monopolar systems are not interchangeable, and settings should be selected for the area.

What to expect
Warmth is expected, but uncomfortable heat should be reported immediately. Changes in firmness are gradual and variable; a course may be advised and the response reviewed.
Suitability and risks
Burns, pain, redness, swelling and pigment changes are possible. Pacemakers and other implanted electronics are important contraindication considerations. Relevant metal implants, pregnancy, broken skin and health conditions must be disclosed.

Before you attend
Tell the practitioner about medicines, allergies, pregnancy, implants, previous procedures and changes in health. Preparation is specific to the method and product; do not stop prescribed medicines without your prescriber’s advice.
Aftercare and follow-up
Remove jewellery where advised and disclose any changes in sensation. Follow gentle skincare and heat-avoidance advice after treatment. Persistent pain or blistering should be reported promptly.

Can you treat every part of the body?
No. “Face and body” means suitable permitted areas following assessment, not unrestricted use around eyes, thyroid, mucosa or implants.
Is RF the same as RF microneedling?
No. This page describes external RF skin tightening, not needles that deliver RF beneath the skin.
Can it replace surgery?
No. It may suit mild laxity, while substantial excess skin has different treatment options.
How much will my treatment cost?
