What this gets you
The Level 4 Certificate covers laser and light hair removal and skin rejuvenation, which is the qualification most laser clinics are built on. The Level 3 Award gives you the underpinning anatomy and physiology, and the Core of Knowledge is the laser safety training expected before you work with a laser or IPL system.
The two qualifications are awarded by Focus Awards and regulated by Ofqual on the Regulated Qualifications Framework. Each is internally assessed through a portfolio of evidence, with no external written examinations. The Core of Knowledge is a certificated course rather than a regulated qualification.
How it is delivered
The Core of Knowledge is completed online at your own pace before you start. The Level 3 Award is workbook based, and the Level 4 Certificate is taught at our Southampton academy, with practical work assessed by your assessor observing you treating real clients. Tutorials normally take place every four to eight weeks.
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this package. It is designed for people starting from scratch, and learners should be aged 18 or over.
