Who this course is for

- A Level 3 qualification in Anatomy and Physiology
- A Laser and IPL Core of Knowledge certificate

- How it works: mechanism of action
- Client suitability and Fitzpatrick typing
- Medical history and contra-indications
- Medications, topicals and herbal remedies
- Equipment, eyewear and device compliance
- Patch-testing protocol
- Step-by-step treatment technique
- Post-treatment care and aftercare
- Treatment adaptations for body areas
- Client forms: medical history, consent and aftercare, plus practitioner-only guidance on what to do when a client discloses a condition or medication
Duration and delivery
Approximately six hours.
Assessment and certification
Multiple-choice knowledge review, test-patch demonstrations, observation during live model sessions, and discussion and oral questioning. On successful completion you will be competent to perform carbon laser peels on suitable skin types, and you receive a CPD-accredited certificate.
Course credits
6 CPD credits.
